A coated garage floor cleans up with a mop, hides wear, and turns a dusty slab into space you actually want to use.

Concrete is porous. It soaks up oil, water and whatever gets tracked in, and in a humid climate it never fully dries out. Add the sand and salt that come home on beach chairs and boots, and a bare garage floor stains and dusts up fast.
An epoxy coating seals the surface. Spills sit on top instead of soaking in, sand sweeps right off, and the floor looks finished instead of unfinished.
Prep is everything. The concrete has to be cleaned and opened up so the coating can grip it. Skip that, and the coating peels. That's why so many store bought kits fail in the first year.
The most common job we do. Clean, bright and easy to keep that way.
A sealed, finished floor for storage or living space.
A durable coating for outdoor concrete that sees a lot of use.
Commercial spaces that need a floor that handles daily wear.
This garage got a professional grade epoxy coating as part of a bigger project that included staining the deck.

A solid color floor looks clean and simple. A flake floor has colored chips broadcast into the coating, which hides dust and small marks and adds a little texture underfoot.
Flake is a popular choice for exactly that reason. It just looks cleaner longer. We can talk through colors and options at the estimate.
The garage needs to be cleared out before we start. From there it's prep, coating and cure time, and the floor stays off limits until it's ready.
We'll tell you up front how long you'll be without the space and when it's safe to walk on and park on again, so you can plan around it.
Concrete also gets a close look before we quote. Moisture coming up through an old slab is the one thing that can undermine any coating, and it's better to know about it before the job than after.
The floor has to be empty, so the biggest job on your end is clearing out the garage. Cars, storage bins, shelving on the floor and anything leaning on the walls all need to come out before we start prep.
It's also a great excuse to sort through what's in there. Plenty of customers tell us the floor is what finally got them to organize the garage, and it's a lot more fun to put things back on a clean, finished floor.
This is where epoxy shines. Sweep it or use a dust mop for sand and dirt, and wipe up spills with a damp mop and a mild cleaner. Oil and road salt that would stain bare concrete sit on top of the coating, so they clean up instead of soaking in.
Put felt pads under heavy shelving legs and use mats where you drag tools or equipment, and the floor will look good for a long time.
Yes. Modern epoxy floor coatings are made to resist moisture, salt and temperature swings, which makes them a good fit for garages, patios and workshops in coastal North Carolina. Proper prep and application are what make them last.
Foot traffic is usually fine within a day or so. Cars need longer, often several days, and the exact time depends on the coating system and the weather. We'll give you the cure time for your floor before we start.
Flake floors have a light texture that helps with grip. If the space gets wet a lot, tell us and we can talk through the best finish for it.
Yes. Garages are the most common, but we also coat basements, patios and commercial spaces. We'll look at the concrete and how the space gets used before we recommend a system.
A broom or dust mop for everyday dirt and sand, and a damp mop with a mild cleaner for spills. Skip harsh chemicals and you'll keep the shine.
Send us a few details about the space and we'll set up a free estimate.
